Professor / Professor (m/f/d) Robotics and Automation, salary grade W2, for the department of "robotics and automation"

Job Responsibilities We are looking for a professor who, due to their practical experience and active project work, is able to represent the field of appointment in teaching and applied research, in both German and English.

In teaching, the focus will be on innovative robot control, as well as industrial automation and control technology. Additional lectures from relevant areas of engineering, such as statistics and machine learning, are also part of your responsibilities.

As part of the research activities at the Cham campus, there are numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary and interactive collaboration with students. The experienced faculty at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences will be happy to support you in applying for and conducting research collaborations with regional and national companies.

In addition to teaching and research, participation in academic self-administration completes your field of activity. Your Profile As an applicant, you bring comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of industrial robotics and innovative automation systems. This includes one or more topics such as robot kinematics, mobile and collaborative robotics, modern robot programming, and decentralized and networked automation solutions.

Furthermore, knowledge and experience in advanced control engineering methods are desirable.
