- Cultivate new relationships to meet resource development goals
- Network and develop giving strategies that benefit all parties involved
- Oversee professional advisor relationships and complex gift acceptance
- Manage planned giving programs and engage with diverse donor groups
- Advance accountability and donor intent through effective stewardship
- Maintain detailed records of donor interactions
- Promote philanthropic initiatives within the community and position the Foundation as a valuable partner
- Stay updated on philanthropic trends and legislation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clarity in gift plans and administration
- Bachelor's degree required; Postgraduate degree preferred
- Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation preferred
- Minimum 7 years' experience in philanthropy, financial planning, or related fields
- Management experience is a plus
- Strong commitment to equity and diversity
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively

Senior Philanthropic Advisor at Winston-Salem Foundation
The senior philanthropic advisor plays a crucial role in the Development and Donor Services department at the Winston-Salem Foundation. This individual is responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with donors, both existing and potential, to secure various forms of philanthropic contributions. They offer guidance and strategic direction on philanthropic tools and trends to donors, professionals, and staff, serving as a key link between the Foundation and wealth intermediaries such as attorneys and financial advisors.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Competitive salary range of $95,000 to $110,000 with comprehensive benefits package
