As the Education & Training Lead, Community Health, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and evaluating a range of educational initiatives to promote health and wellness in our community.

We seek a dynamic individual with a strong background in public health, program development, and adult education who is deeply committed to improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for education and training programs focused on health promotion and disease prevention aligning with organizational goals and public health priorities.
  • Oversee the implementation of curriculum and training materials for health programs, ensuring alignment with evidencebased practices and public health guidelines.
  • Coordinate program delivery, including scheduling, logistics, and participant recruitment, to ensure effective and efficient program implementation.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to support program goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to program staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor program outcomes and performance metrics, track participant progress and program effectiveness, and adjust as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain program participants, including outreach and marketing efforts targeted at diverse populations.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and public forums, advocating for the importance of health education and training in improving community health outcomes.

Required Skills & Abilities:


  • Bachelor's or or equivalent experience in education, public health, health education, nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program management, health education, or related field, with a track record of success in developing, implementing, and evaluating health education programs.
  • Strong understanding of public health principles, health promotion strategies, and evidencebased practices in health education.
  • Excellent leadership and teambuilding skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, partners, and program participants.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and compellingly for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively and to coordinate and delegate tasks to achieve program goals.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and project management tools, with experience using data management systems and reporting tools to track program outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities in the community.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that can identify emerging opportunities.

Physical Conditions:

The staff person must be able to attend meetings on nights and weekends as needed. EHCEC is a collaborative work setting. Employees pitch in to help each other with responsibilities as needed. Team members will be expected to contribute to teamwork and a sense of collaboration.
