Camp Arena Stage is dedicated to the personal and creative growth of its campers, by providing excellent arts instruction in a joyful, supportive community.

Campers are empowered to choose their own schedule from over 50 classes in theater, dance, music, visual arts, filmmaking and writing.

Camp Arena Stage brings together campers (ages 8-15) and professional artist-educators from diverse backgrounds to explore, discover and create art.

WHAT YOU'LL DO


The Voice Instructor at Camp Arena Stage plans and teaches four daily singing/music classes and participates fully in other aspects of camp.

Classes taught by this instructor have included solo and small group voice, show choir, a cappella, Disney favorites, etc. We welcome suggestions for singing/music classes applicants would be excited to teach. Supply budget provided.


This role is Full-Time & Seasonal, 40 hours per week, for 7 weeks:

June 2- August 2, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. This includes one paid week of camp staff training followed by a 3-Week Session and a 2-Week Session.

Camp Arena Stage is a day camp located on the campus of Georgetown Visitation th St. NW, Washington, DC). _Free onsite parking is available. Children of staff members attend camp free._

  • Serve as a homeroom/small group leader for 8 campers OR be part of the team that runs carpool lines and the technical needs of our daily Noontime Show.
  • Colead a onetime recreation or arts activity each day
  • Participate in a full week of onsite camp staff training
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive, collaborative arts community for campers and staff
  • Attend brief faculty meetings on Thursdays from 4:1 4:45 p.m.
  • Participate in a camp cleanup day on August 3.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with young people; teaching experience within art form preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience, outstanding undergraduates considered.
  • Ability to plan and teach handson, ageappropriate activities that encourage creativity and skill building.
