The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses.
Major Position Responsibilities:
The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner.

- Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
- Professional caregiver who performs patient assessment
- Develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses.
- Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals.
- Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate.
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution
.
Qualifications:
Care/Hospital experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred.

Qualifications RN/Transitional Experience:
- Acute Care/Hospital experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred.
- Telemetry experience, preferred.
Licenses:
- Current California RN License, required.
Certifications:
- Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS within 90 days of hire, required; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
- NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire, required.
- Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience.
