Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Lead Dispatcher to join our logistics team. As a Lead Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of our transportation department.

This is a critical role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Collaborate with coworkers, carriers and customers to ensure on time pickup and delivery of freight.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints related to transportation services.
• Provide ongoing support to the dispatch team

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management
• Familiarity with transportation planning and logistics processes
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fastpaced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards
• Ability to type accurately and efficiently
• Understanding of different types of freight and their specific requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Exceptional customer service skills, organizational skills, and professionalism
• Ability to multitask professionally in a highpaced and at times stressful environment while working independently to analyze problems like unanticipated roadblocks or handle any difficult situations as you will communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
• Strong time management skills with flexibility to successfully juggle conflicting priorities.

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent with office experience
  required
• Bachelor's or associate degree in logistics transportation
  preferred but not required.

Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
