- Assists nursing director/manager with evaluation of quality standards of nursing care. Audits patient medical records to evaluate staff compliance with national patient safety goals and other established standards of practice.
- Provides staff education during orientation and through continuing education regarding the specialized knowledge and skills necessary for proficient practice in the clinical setting.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities and needs.
- Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice.
- Previous Emergency Dept charge nurse experience required.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
- Current TNCC and ENPC certification, preferred.

This Emergency Dept Clinical Supervisor opportunity is part time at 24 hours per week, offers full benefitsw and a convenient night shift schedule. This dynamic individual will perform a dual function, clinical and managerial. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, performs disciplinary actions, participates in hiring and termination of staff. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patients clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
