Position Overview:


The ARM Group is excited to announce an opening for a
Maintenance Technician II
(Mechanical) for one of our top clients in
Aurora, IL. This role is integral to ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our client's Management Operating System II operations.


Basic Minimum Requirements:

-
Experience: At least three (3) years as a packaging mechanic.
-
Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing packaging equipment; handling pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical components.
-
Versatility: Capable of performing packaging line changeovers and expressing basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.
-
Mechanical Expertise: Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, bearings, driveshafts, sprockets, roller chains, and more.
-
Hydraulic Systems Knowledge: Experience with cylinders, pumps, valves, and motors.
-
Shop Skills: Proficient in welding, drilling, milling, and operating shop equipment such as grinders, belt sanders, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic presses, and electric drills.

Tools: Must possess basic standard and metric hand tools.
-
Availability: Flexibility to work any shift and overtime as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

-
CMMS: Basic knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
-
Rebuilding Skills: Experience in rebuilding and overhauling packaging equipment.

  • Diagnostics: Capable of troubleshooting and running computerbased diagnostics.
-
Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals.
-
Advanced Systems: Experience with photo electrical registration systems, lathe operation, PLCs, sensors, and control devices.


Physical Requirements:

-
Mobility: Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, twist, and perform various physical movements.
-
Manual Dexterity: Proficient in handling hand and power/pneumatic tools.
-
Strength: Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling moderate weights.
-
Environment: Work primarily in an internal plant setting with exposure to dust and noise.


Key Responsibilities:

-
Diverse Maintenance: Perform a variety of service tasks in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, carpentry, and machine servicing.
-
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, adjust, and rebuild machinery for production, packaging, packing, and palletizing.
-
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions, perform line size changes and ensure preventive maintenance.
-
Technical Adjustments: Modify parts, alter control mechanisms, and synchronize multiple operations for optimal machinery performance.
-
Continuous Improvement: Assist in production operations to maintain continuous line operation and train other employees as required.

Safety First: Adhere to safety practices and procedures, use personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.

Pay:
$ $34.40 per hour
