Job Summary:
Maintains, repairs, and calibrates electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems. Performs routine troubleshooting activities. Provides commissioning support for new and retrofitted units.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support during production breakdowns and new equipment installations, commissioning, retrofits and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in equipment malfunction investigation to increase equipment reliability by identifying root cause, determining corrective actions/preventative measures.
- Provide hands on support as required to resolve low voltage motors/breakers, control circuits, and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Prioritizes own's daily schedule insuring completion of assigned tasks within defined timeline.
- Regularly provides onthejob skills training to others in complex technical areas.
- Maintain comprehensive written records and logs as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Moderate understanding of PLCs, HMIs, including advanced programming techniques and configurations.
- Through knowledge of Industrial Instrumentation—level, Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Proximity Sensors, Reed Sensors, and Laser Distance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Must be able to assist with troubleshooting issues.
- Test control panels and make connections that ensure the function of the panel yields accurate results.
- Testing of the instruments (Point to Point).
- Ability to test instruments using a multimeter/oscilloscope.
- Moderate understanding of different types of transmissions ex (fieldbus, HART, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma in addition to 5+ years of instrumentation/electrical experience.
- Associate degree in Instrumentation/Electronics can be used in lieu of two years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Employees are frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. Technicians work primarily in a shop or outdoor environment.
- Employees are required to wear company mandated personal protective equipment (coveralls, safety boots, safety gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear protection) and must strictly adhere to safety policy.
- Employees must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and lbs. with a team lift.
- Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination, depending on job demands.
Pay:
$ $38.00 per hour
