Position Summary...

What you'll do...


This role will be a key member of Marketplace Payments and Financial services team, and responsible for strategizing our Working Capital Program's growth, providing white-glove services to our sellers, and expanding the relationship into new financial products and offerings.


This role is highly strategic and will interact with multiple levels across a broad range of cross-functional teams and leaders across Walmart Marketplace.


What you'll do

  • Understand business life cycle of marketplace sellers, cash flow & spending needs and providing prudent financial solutions to support the sellers' growth.
  • Solicit new cash advance and partnership opportunities, providing personalized payment experience to sellers while advancing program's overall vision.
  • Provide strategic and analytic support to product, marketing, and operations etc. and develop solutions to enhance seller experience, increase product awareness and optimize platform capabilities.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape, macroeconomic environment, and emerging trends in financial services. Independently leverages market research and analysis and be able to make strong recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with multiple stakeholders including product, engineering, data science, GTM, finance, legal and other partner teams supporting Working Capital program's roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 5+ years or bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or business or other quantitative field with 7+ years of experience preferably in payments strategy, consulting, business development, or analytics etc.
  • Strong understanding credit risk and underwriting practices
  • Strong relationship management skills; demonstrate strong tactical business development and negotiation skills.
  • Risk/payments experience, Marketplace, or ecommerce payments or Payment consulting experience a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets and excel based data analyses.
  • Clear, confident communicator who loves taking a complicated problem, decomposing it, and building a compelling business case.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
