- Conduct research through Federal, State, and County court systems or repositories per CRC policies and procedures.
- Submit requests to Public Record Research Vendors and direct record sources.
- Interpret and input results from Public Record Research Vendors and direct record sources.
- Maintain effective records of all actions taken on a licensing request.
- Conduct Address History and Comprehensive Database searches.
- Interpret Address History and Comprehensive Database search results. Apply appropriately to order per licensing client requirements
- Communicate directly with sources by phone or email.
- Analyze data obtained for 3-point matching criteria.
- Data review and quality assurance of all information obtained from data or record sources.
- Apply CRC reporting policies and legal compliance (FCRA, State FCRA's, etc.) to all information entered into a CRC Report
- Professional appearance and manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, and as a part of a team.
- Strong time management skills, able to meet strict deadlines.
- Must be organized, logical, and able to follow directions.
- Must be able to maintain detailed, confidential, accurate records.
- Computer literacy, specifically MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook for Windows
- Phone etiquette with the ability to initiate and receive calls and faxes.
- Ability to handle all assignments with discretion and confidentiality.
- High School Degree or GED Required, Criminal Justice background a plus.
- Experience in background investigations or legal environment is helpful, but not required.
- Fair Credit Reporting Act Certification a plus (FCRA), but not required.
- Experienced working from home in a previous job, preferably working on a remote based research team.
- Technologically savvy and comfortable with communication tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and phone use.
- You must have a private permanent home office space to work in (this is subject to our approval), with highspeed internet and ethernet cable.

Summary
Under the supervision of the Licensing Team Lead, the Licensing Research Associate is responsible for conducting computer-based database searches in compliance with State and Federal reporting guidelines. This includes research of public records, federal, state and county court documents. All research is conducted via internet, phone, email, and/or fax.
