Librarian (m/f/d):

Full-time (100%)

  • The University Library Mainz is the central information service provider for students and researchers at JGU. It provides them with literature and information according to their needs and offers modern learning and communication spaces.

Your tasks:


  • Conception, development, implementation, and further development of target grouporiented events (courses, tours) for the mediation of information literacy onsite and in the virtual space
  • Qualified information and advisory service (in person, by phone, in writing, virtually)
  • Collaboration in the future and customeroriented design of services in a heavily used university library
  • Deputy management of the Information and Interlibrary Loan department

Your profile:


  • Successfully completed university studies (Bachelor/Diploma) as well as expertise and professional experience in library science or qualification for the third entry level position in academic libraries
  • Experience in teaching information literacy
  • Knowledge
