Located in Bear, Delaware, AWSM Solutions serves a variety of industries including surfactants, industrial and institutional cleaners, transportation cleaners, marine products, and herbicides.


Position Summary


The Site Manufacturing Manager is responsible for oversight of all aspects of daily chemical manufacturing operations with a high emphasis on ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment.

This position oversees and manages the supervision of production staff, building and equipment maintenance, quality control, and the enforcement of policies and procedures while keeping the Company's Core Values at the forefront of all decisions and planning.

This position is also responsible for managing equipment and providing fiscal analysis of production operations.


Essential Functions

  • Implement daily and weekly production plans including equipment maintenance, monitoring production status, ensuring the final product meets all customer requirements, and managing allshipping and receiving activities.
  • Supervise all production staff directly or through departmental Leads. Oversees and gives inputregarding interviews, hires and training of new employees.
  • Develop, manage, and analyze plant manufacturing budgets.
  • Remove constraints and waste from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
  • Work with other departments to evaluate new products in order to forecast productionworkforce, equipment and materials, and safety requirements.
  • Assist with drafting, approving, and executing production policies, SOPs, training and procedures such as proper equipment operation, safety protocols, and personnel management.
  • Prepare and approve employee worked hours via ADP for submission to payroll.
  • Work with other departments to achieve company goals for safety, quality, and production.
  • Update production staff & assist in training about safety, quality and efficiency goals and procedures.
  • Oversee Quality Control to support production needs.
  • Oversee and advise maintenance on internal needs and budgets.
  • Manage external contractors to meet company requirements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants to support any necessary business needs, includingquality, safety, and production.
  • Assist and coordinate with HR employee onboarding, proper timekeeping, PTO requests andapprovals, and performance management.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of manufacturing operations experience with roles of progressively increasing responsibility, including at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrate attentiontodetail, problem solving, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, FDA, EPA, IATA, IMDG)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience supervising blending, filing in various sizes and packaging
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and ISO Certification
  • OSHA Forklift Trainer Certification
  • Hazardous Material manufacturing and handling experience

Pay:
$75, $90,000.00 per year
