The Ocean park Inn is a 71 room ocean front property in Pacific Beach.

We recently went through a $8million dollar complete renovation of the entire property and look forward to be adding out new bar in the following year.


SUMMARY

  • Manages front office operations to ensure high level of company culture, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Oversees room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, checks rooms and public areas for cleanliness._

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As an integral part of leadership, you will be in charge of ensuring the company culture is in effect at the front desk.
  • Supervise front desk clerks and ensure smooth operation of front desk area.
  • Maintain occupancy, revenue, payroll, and expenses within budgeted parameters
  • Set room inventory controls by adjusting rates and conducting daily calls to determine select competitor's rates
  • Do daily checks/inspections of rooms
  • Provide and ensure highquality guest service
  • Monitor associate interaction with guests to include arrival, guest room experience, lobby breakfast experience and departure
  • Work with General Manager to constantly improve curb appeal, cleanliness, lobby presentation and arrival experience
  • Maintain desired levels of quality assurance ratings including guest comment cards, accounting audit and inspection scores
  • Responsible for proper key control and other security measures
  • Recruit, select, and retain a quality staff
  • Perform associate training on policies, practices and procedures
  • Responsible for supervision, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions of associates with the approval of the General Manager
  • Prepare work schedules and expedite workflow
  • Process and understand required reports and monitor reports for inconsistencies
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and inform management of any unsafe conditions
  • Perform night audit duties if needed

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related hospitality certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hotel industry preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred

Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
