Description

The SC Login Technician will support the receipt and shipment of samples into and out of the laboratory, assist in preparing and shipping bottle kits for delivery to clients and ensures accurate and timely documentation of sample log in, labeling, and routing.

The Sample Control Login Technician will also be responsible for proper disposal of samples from lab storage areas in accordance with all applicable procedures.

• Basic knowledge of computers; word processing software and database software
• Basic mathematics skills
• Basic composition, spelling, grammar, punctuation skills
• Ability to organize work and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent communication (oral and written)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, selfmotivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
• Receives and unloads incoming samples and verifies receipt against the client's provided documentation. Verifies that documentation is accurate and complete,
• Logs samples into the laboratory's computer system to assign a lot number for tracking purposes.
• Prepares bottle kits daily to be shipped to clients to collect samples and return for analysis in accordance with established procedures.
• Disposes of spent samples, in accordance with established procedures.
• Cleans and organizes the department daily to promote a clean, safe work environment and smoother flow of daily operations.
• Maintains and promotes safety and conducts all operations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
• Other job duties as determined by local management.
