The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the College of Liberal Arts, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

It is the policy of The University of Texas at Arlington to conduct a criminal background check on any applicant who is under final consideration for employment with the University.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science, expanding knowledge in the field by conducting research, and engaging in service to the department, university, and discipline.
Required QualificationsA PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field is required. Applicants with a JD alone will not be considered.
Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and service—as well as potential for, or record of, funded research activity.
Preferred QualificationsThe area of specialization is open. Preference will be given to applicants with research background in law or courts and external grant activity. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
