Responsibilities:


This role requires the person to conduct themselves in the manner of a leader and specialist in Learning and Development strategies.

They will be working with all levels of staff, including senior management, to identify how performance gaps can be addressed across different departments in the company.


Responsibilities include:
Design training solution

  • Develop Training Guides and assessments in accordance with business needs
  • Develop training schedules to ensure corporate, departmental and customer needs are met in a timely manner
  • Maintain and validate all training programs are instructionally sound and effective for learners, ensuring training reflects current processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal team members and clients to test and format new/existing processes, content, materials, etc.
  • Liaise, confer and collaborate with peers, business units, BAs, SMEs, etc., as required for content approvals, establishing timelines, determining resources/obstacles, etc.
Facilitation of training programs

  • Liaise with clients to review and organize training needs; ensure training curriculum is conducive to learners' needs
  • Prepare for training sessions based on assignment this includes review of training curriculum/calendar; ensure assessments are correct through thorough testing; classroom is set up as desired; determine required materials and supplies as desired for effective learning
  • Regular checks of training rooms and system testing; report issues to IT
  • Conduct training sessions for New Hire training or refresher training, as well as coaching sessions as required while adhering to calendar timelines
  • Maintain effective administrative reports for inclass coaching logs, inclass attendance infractions, etc. and report to appropriate parties (i.e. WF, L&D manager)
  • Address any behavioral concerns with learners; involve L&D manager when required
  • Utilize feedback from surveys and observations to improve upon training skills
Analyze training needs

  • Consult with internal customers to identify performance problems and training opportunities
  • Partner with clients (job shadow) to observe system, processes, collect relevant data, identify trends / gaps / training needs
  • Create, utilize and evaluate data collection tools such as interviews, questionnaires, recorded calls, focus groups, reports, etc. and document reviews to identify training needs and performance gaps
  • Analyze data collected and make recommendations that address trainingrelated problems and opportunities
Maintain high degree of knowledge of markets and processes

  • Participate in project meetings / team meetings and assess impact to training
  • Attend training to keep abreast of changes
  • Consult with client groups and peers regularly about changes and updates affecting business to complete design tasks accordingly
Organization Development

  • Assist and facilitate organizational projects related to employee onboarding, staff development, and employee engagement

Requirements:


  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts, coach and work in a teambased environment
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fastpaced environment with accuracy, composure, and adaptability
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills for identifying client needs and developing solutions
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable in a matrix organization and working with a variety of cross functional teams
  • Proficiency in using technology to advance learning and organizational initiatives
  • Strong EQ skills; Resiliency, ability to deal with ambiguity, lead change
  • Strong PC skills (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Learning Management System an asset
  • Experience with authoring tools and design software, such as Storyline / Articulate, Lectora, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe tools an asset

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Qualifications:


  • Adult Education Certification preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Learning & Development (combination of training and design)
  • Experience designing and developing training curriculum, facilitating live classroom workshops and webbased instruction with remote
