    BonheurMD is a well-established private practice on the upper east side of Manhattan, specialized in gastroenterology.     Position Overview:

    Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate is hard working and eager to work alongside our physicians and other members of our staff to maintain our high standards of quality and compassionate care for all of our patients. As a Physician Assistant specializing in gastroenterology, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to work collaboratively with our physicians and clinical and administrative staff with the goals of patient-centered care and quality as the priority.
    • Conducting initial consultations and follow-up patient assessments including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal health.
    • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
    • Developing and implementing treatment plans to ensure individual patient needs
    • Prescribing and renewing medications
    • Providing patient education and counseling on disease prevention, management, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal digestive health.
    • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals outside of our practice to provide comprehensive patient care
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Maintains accurate and timely medical records, including patient progress notes, treatment plans, and test results.
    • Practices within the scope of attending physicians
    • Willingness to participate in the coordination/ oversight of clinical trials within the practice
    • Maintains board certification.
    • Performs clinical and administrative tasks effectively and efficiently.
    • Participates in designated activities related to professional physician assistant practice standards.
    • Promotes self-learning and maintenance of continued medical education (CME) requirements for board certification and practice of evidenced-based medicine.
    • Promotes a positive work environment.
    • Previous experience as a physician assistant or physician assistant fellowship experience is preferred but not required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Physician Assistant Bachelor's Degree (BA-PA)

    Current New York State Physician Assistant License

    NCCPA Board Certification
