Position Summary / Purpose

Assist General Counsel in administrative tasks related to legal services.

Achieve, monitor, and maintain compliance with contract requirements of assigned vendors

Complete requests for proposals, qualifications, and other bid documentation as appropriate

Principle


Responsibilities:


  • Perform property records searches
  • Utilize Westlaw and other sources to retrieve caselaw and perform research
  • Type and format documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Maintain attorney calendar and docket upcoming dates/deadlines
  • Organize and file pleadings, correspondence and other documents
  • Draft routine correspondence, and other documents
  • Assist in preparation of briefs, pleadings, and other documents for filing in compliance with applicable rules in federal, state and county venues
  • Assist attorney during depositions, trials, and hearings
  • Ensure request for proposals, request for qualifications, and other bid opportunities are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure vendor platforms are updated and compliant
  • Organize and maintain vendor related logins, documents, and files
  • Build and maintain inventory of vendor compliance

  • Attend departmental and company meetings as required.
  • Answer phones when necessary

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in paralegal studies, business, marketing or related field required with a bachelor's (4year) degree Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience.
