    Founded by a service academy graduate who has offshore experience, Core Group Resources' expertise is unmatched in the marine offshore market, finance, IT, renewables, & non-profit for executive search, staffing, and expertise identification.*Lead Design Engineer Job Summary*We are seeking an experienced Lead Design* *Engineer* *to develop new mechanical designs for rotating machinery, structural aluminum weldments, and steel castings by modifying previous designs and/or creating new ones.

    *Lead Design Engineer Responsibilities
    • Prepare detailed production drawings and modify existing drawings
    • Ideally the candidate will be able to lead a team of 1-2 other Drafters/CAD Modelers/Design Engineers
    • Review drawings for accuracy and formatting before submitting to Engineering Manager for approval
    • Create customer approval drawings
    • Assist with Engineering Change Notices
    • Help establish / maintain company's standards for CAD techniques
    *Lead Design Engineer Position Requirements
    • Previous experience designing/modeling of Anchor Windlasses, Capstans, Winches, and/or other Marine Machinery/Equipment
    • 5-10 yearS ofexperience
    • Superior Knowledge of Solidworks Parts, Assemblies, Drawings, Weldments, Equations, Parts Libraries, Custom Properties, Simulation FEA, etc.
    • Highly Skilled in Machining/Casting Tolerances, GD&T, & Proper CAD Detailing Techniques
    • Previous Team Lead/Management Experience
