    Certified Veterinary Technician

    Department: Veterinary Technicians

    Employment Type: Full Time

    Location: Melrose, Massachusetts

    Reporting To: MICHELE EAGAN(A2IR)

    Compensation: $ $27.00 / hour

Look no further Our thriving veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team Someone who is a compassionate, skilled individual lookting to make a difference in the lives of animals and their families.

    There is flexibility for this to be a full-time or part-time role. If you looking for a place to plant roots, fully utilize your skills, and grow in your career- this is the opportunity

    Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
    • Effective communication with both clients & team
    • Client education
    • Safe handling & restraint of animals
    • Obtain vitals & medical history
    • Venipuncture
    • Place intravenous catheters
    • Administer medications PO, SQ, IM, & IV
    • Administer & monitor anesthesia
    • Surgical assistance
    • Laboratory testing & radiography
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Experience in a veterinary setting
    • Completion of an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program
    • Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license
