Description

Working under general supervision, the incumbent may be responsible for providing professional Human Resources support in the areas of employee relations, compensation, benefits, HR policies and procedures, training and development, performance management, human resources Information Systems (HRIS), HR metrics reporting, regulatory compliance and reporting, employee activities, immigration, leaves of absence and records management.

Supports the design, improvement and administration of HR processes and programs to achieve desired results while managing costs and achieving high quality goals and standards and customer satisfaction.

The incumbent may be designated as a lead in a specific HR function depending on operational need and will be responsible for providing the HR group and their customers with a high degree of specialized, up to date knowledge and service.

The incumbent may spend a majority of their time working in the area of their specialization for varying lengths of time depending on the assignment.

The incumbent must be skilled at creating, administering and auditing complex systems and processes that touch many stakeholders. Ability to communicate skillfully with a widely diverse group of vendors, customers, colleagues and senior management is required.

The incumbent has accountability for drafting documentation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures and practices, and other substantial and complex special projects assigned by the Senior Manager Human Resources.

Provides skilled and seasoned administrative direction and counsel regarding the interpretation of policies, practices and procedures and a wide variety of personnel actions.

Provides support in other areas of HR where creativity and a comprehensive understanding of human resources practices and Laboratory culture is essential toward the goals and objectives of the organization and the department.


Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Designs, implements and administers effective and high quality HR processes and procedures to meet required needs and objectives. Regularly measures and reports on results.
Responsible for regularly evaluating the organizations' culture and works with organization(s) management and HR Senior Manager to assure culture is aligned with vision, values and goals and objectives of the organization(s)
Knowledge of leadership skills and techniques with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others toward the accomplishment of individual and shared objectives

Develops effective give and take relationships with others; recognizes and effectively balances the interests and needs of one's own group with those of the broader organization.

Administers processes to mediate and resolve workforce disputes
Assists in the development of HR budgets
Supports the development of leadership at all levels throughout their organizations
Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP).
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and successfully carry out multiple projects at the same time to successful conclusion
Significant achievements in implementing best practices HR systems and programs in current and prior positions
Ability to be effective as member of a collaborative management team
Knowledge of equal opportunity and affirmative action requirements
Knowledge of HRIS and experience with HRIS systems
Attainment to a substantial degree of the Key Competencies listed above.
Ability to work effectively with ever evolving technologies and software

Certification Requirements:
Professional certification (PHR, SHRM-CP/SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Pay Range:
$63,744 - $106,723 based on total years of prior related experience
