Are you passionate about healthcare finance and skilled in managing billing processes? Join our team as a Healthcare Billing Specialist and contribute to ensuring accurate and efficient billing operations within our organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Generate and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government agencies accurately and timely.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services.
  • Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, including proper coding and documentation.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely payment.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
  • Process patient payments, refunds, and adjustments accurately and according to company policies.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, coding guidelines, and payer policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of billing reports and analysis as needed.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a healthcare billing specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing processes, including CPT, ICD10, and HCPCS coding.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software/systems (e.g., Medicaid Waiver, VA Benefits, BlueCross BlueShield).
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement procedures, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration, medical billing, or related field preferred.
