The Power division designs and manufactures brake systems for the powersports industry (motorcycles, ATV's/UTV's and snowmobiles), agriculture and construction markets while the Bicycle division designs and manufactures suspension, brakes, wheels, and ancillary cycling products.


General Overview:

As an Assembler, you will assemble components and operate assembly operations as required and operate a number of machines or testers simultaneously throughout the day.

Responsibilities and Duties Include and Not Limited to_:_**- Prepare work area. Check and fill all bins. Move stock if necessary.

  • Assemble all components properly following established procedures, specific work instructions, or instructions from supervisor or lead person.
  • Visually inspect parts for chips, burrs, cleanliness, broken tooling, defective paint and porosity.
  • Complete scrap tags, mark defective area and place in designated scrap carts.
  • Document all customer names, all heat and lot numbers, such as rubber products, friction material, part counts, material codes, and shipping part numbers.
  • Perform "firstpiece inspections" and various unsupervised routine inspections, visually or with the use of checking devices.
  • Prepare all finished units for shipment.
  • Verify and maintain the quality of work produced through visual inspection, testing, and inspection work instructions. Notify supervisor or lead of any nonconformity, and document as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area complying with procedures. This includes mopping, sweeping, emptying mop and water buckets, and cleaning machines.
  • Follow all ISO established procedures and participate in continuous improvement.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude; i.e., be a team player, respectful, cooperative, trustworthy, willing to help and to take ownership in solving problems.

Required Skills:


  • Must have the ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions in order to perform the duties described above.
  • Must posses the ability to perform basic arithmetic required for charting and calculating order quantities.
  • Ability to meet production requirements, concentrate and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand 85100% of the time.
  • Comprehensive understanding of part defects, as well as assembly practices.
  • Ability to identify part defects.
  • Ability to document and communicate any part shortages, disruptions and/or any positive progress during the workday.

Education and Experience:


  • Must have at least 12 years of Assembly or Machine Operating experience
