Summary
Responsible for overall safety, quality, on time delivery and efficiency of his/her assigned cells or lines. Manage up to 15 assemblers (Assembler I, II, III) on multiple cells or lines. Responsible for assemblers adhering to company policies as described in various documents.

Work with other departments to ensure cells or lines have all required tooling and components to meet production and quality requirements.

Accountability and responsibility for the effectiveness of the Quality Management system ISO9001/14000/13485 and AS9100.

Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure operators are using proper

PPE:
Safety Glasses, Smocks and anti-static wrist straps (As required)

  • Ensure operators are following FOD procedure.
  • Ensure operators are producing products that meet customer, regulatory and quality
- requirements

  • Ensure scrap/rejected materials are properly processed and documented.
  • Conduct onboarding/training of new employees in:
  • Cutting and Labeling Wires
  • Subassembly: Crimping Terminals, and Assembly and Shrink Tubings
  • Assembly of Cables: Coax, Arincs, Multi-Conductor and Discrete
  • Lace Tying
  • Soldering
  • Expert level understanding of all assembly, testing, fixtures, equipment, trouble shooting and quality requirements of assigned cells or lines
  • Ensure operators are fully trained in assigned process steps within cell or line
  • Ensure all materials and tools are within verification, calibration, or expiration date
  • Ensure operators are performing inline process inspection and recording results
  • Ensure all operators arrive and depart punctually to and from the production cell or line
  • Ensure operators are fully adhering to 5S/housekeeping practices
  • Report all safety issues to Supervisor/manager: First aid, near misses and injury recordable
  • Actively participate in disciplinary and performance improvement actions
  • Ensure proper line change over and/or line set up, including set up of semiautomated equipment, programming stations, and various test equipment
  • Effectively communicate with operators and Supervisors
  • Provide feedback to operators
  • Resilient, assertive, and open to change
  • Provide feedback to management to improve operation, provide procedure improvements, and improve quality
  • Available for overtime production when necessary to meet customer delivery requirement
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate with all departments
  • Actively participate in various customer and regulatory audits
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO13485 and AS9100 requirements as it pertains to assigned cells or lines

  • Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Required:


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Be able to read drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Work independently and in team setting.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Advanced computer skills including Word and Excel. At least a minimum of basic computer skills.
  • Experience of leading small group activities.

Preferred:


  • High School diploma or GED.
