Stevens Institute of Technology, a premier private research university located in Hoboken, New Jersey, overlooking the Manhattan skyline, is seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordinator to join our Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

With a commitment to preparing over 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students for an increasingly complex and technology-centric world, Stevens leverages a multidisciplinary approach that integrates finance, computing, engineering, and the arts to address the most pressing challenges of our time through innovative teaching and research.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Admissions Counselors in evaluating prospective students and providing recommendations for admission to the university.
  • Serve as a representative of Stevens Institute of Technology during both virtual and inperson recruitment activities, fostering positive connections with prospective students.
  • Assist in organizing and executing recruitment and admissions events both on and off campus, contributing to the success of these initiatives.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned

Admissions Coordinators will be expected to:

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student records in compliance with state and federal laws in accordance with the Federal Education Records Protection Act (FERPA)
  • Understand Admissions goals for nondiscrimination and creating a multicultural environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High attention to detail
  • High attention to customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills with diverse constituents
  • Ability to work independently and within a team culture
  • Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with oncampus, virtual events, and offcampus activities
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Proficient in a Windowsbased computer environment
Preferred Qualifications

  • One to three years of admissions experience or similar undergraduate admissions background (ex. Student Ambassador, Tour Guide)
  • Experience in Slate CRM
