As an internationally active architecture firm with locations in Berlin, London, Milan, and Shanghai, David Chipperfield Architects works in all areas of architecture, urban planning, interior, product, and furniture design for private and public clients.

Currently, we employ 145 staff members in Berlin.


We are seeking qualified and experienced architects with a focus on project management to lead large and complex planning projects in the areas of preservation, restoration, and new construction.

You have experience working with complex client/user constellations, communicate effectively, and lead large and challenging coordination meetings with confidence. You keep the project goals in mind and steer the planning process accordingly. You are proficient in using tools for scheduling and cost planning.

You are familiar with the essential criteria of an architect's contract and enjoy leading and motivating a multi-person planning team.


You see these tasks as an essential part of the architectural process and create the space for the realization of projects with outstanding design quality.

Your responsibilities as a project manager include the following scope of services:

  • Contract fulfillment
  • Support contract management, preparation of service description and project calculation
  • Fulfillment of contractually owed services
  • Organization of management meetings
  • Control and coordination of contractrelevant processes/project disruptions
  • Identification of extracontractual services, preparation of change notifications
  • Preparation and tracking of additional offers
  • Ensuring acceptance
  • Defect management
  • Client coordination
  • Resultsoriented coordination with clients and users
  • Methodical approach to clients
