TSI Commercial Floor Covering is searching for a
full-time commercial Flooring Estimator for our Houston, TX location.

This position will require an individual to do accurate flooring measurements and translate those measurements into job quotes.

This individual must be a self-starter, personally well-organized and able to work in an office setting for the majority of the time.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read architectural blueprints
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn our estimating system
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Time management
• Selfmotivated and team player
• Mathematical background

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review construction documents and determine scope of work pertaining to commercial flooring
• Read, understand and analyze project drawings and specifications
• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial bids
• Use construction takeoff software to generate drawings to support quotations, work orders, and installation instructions (training provided)
• Identify omissions and inaccuracies in plans
• Demonstrate computer and writing skills (proficiency with MS Office products)
• Proactively communicate internally and externally in a professional manner
