    Description

    Our client is one of the largest dairy producers in the US, their business supports a network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers serving producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry-leading R&D and committed partnerships, they innovate nutrition products and practices.

    As they continue growing, they are looking for a Reliability Engineer for their Spencer, WI facility, who will report to the Maintenance Manager. The engineer will work to minimize top losses on a 24-hour basis using continuous improvement methods and leadership skills. They will focus on eliminating maintenance and breakdown-related losses while enhancing team capabilities to improve overall line performance.

    What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

    • Establish and enforce best practices for preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of CMMS and availability of spare parts, while implementing equipment maintenance strategies and reliability standards for the Spencer, WI facilities.
    • Lead efforts to minimize unplanned downtime, identify recurring issues, and prevent repeat incidents and near misses, thereby lowering life cycle costs and enhancing operational profitability.
    • Create engineering solutions to address recurring failures and other operational challenges affecting plant performance, such as capacity constraints, quality concerns, cost issues, or regulatory compliance matters.
    • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge progress effectively.

    What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science) 5+ years of experience in Industrial Manufacturing, or an Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience in the field without a degree.
    • Experience in Food/Dairy or Chemical Manufacturing is preferred, along with expertise in developing maintenance reliability programs and managing maintenance budgets.
    • Strong understanding of industrial technologies and proficiency in SMMS and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive positive outcomes.
    • Labor relations and union experience are desirable.
