Job Title: Remote Assistant Property Maintenance Manager (100% Work From Home)
Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Salary: $1,500 - 1,700 USD/month depending on experience paid via direct deposit Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm Eastern Time, with a 30 minute lunch Job Overview:Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Maintenance Manager to support and oversee maintenance operations across a growing portfolio of vacation rental properties. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can operate independently without constant supervision.
You will play a key role in ensuring properties remain guest-ready, safe, and well-maintained while supporting technicians, coordinating vendors, and upholding high quality standards across all maintenance projects.
- Support day-to-day maintenance operations across multiple vacation rental properties
- Assist with scheduling, coordination, and oversight of maintenance technicians
- Diagnose property issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion
- Obtain, review, and evaluate maintenance and repair bids
- Conduct routine property inspections and support preventative maintenance planning
- Oversee and coordinate work related to:
- General construction and repairs
- HVAC systems
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Swimming pools and related equipment
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:
Required- 3+ years of experience in property maintenance, facilities management, vacation rentals, short-term rentals, or residential/commercial real estate maintenance
- Demonstrated experience scheduling technicians and managing contractors
- Strong working knowledge of residential property systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural repairs)
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Experience obtaining and comparing vendor bids
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programs and inspection processes
- Ability to prioritize urgent repairs while managing ongoing projects
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Self-motivated and capable of operating independently
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, accountable, and detail-focused
- Strong communication skills when working with technicians, vendors, and internal teams
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in time-sensitive situations
