    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    - Performs engineering valve design functions for the development of new products and for the modification of existing products, in alignment with corporate strategic plans.

    • Design and create prototype models and methods to validate design concepts and final design, including necessary supporting engineering calculations.
    • Validate design with team members and approve design changes.
    • Report progress and any unusual project occurrences to the Engineering Manager or Project Engineer.
    • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, production, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful product design projects.
    • Collaborate with engineering support groups to review final designs and make appropriate modifications.
    • Engage with various company support departments to resolve manufacturing issues and enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
    • Stay updated on technological advancements and opportunities to incorporate design innovations.
    • Visit customer sites and contractors to validate product design specifications and address any product-related issues.
    • Prepare project time reports according to the schedule.
    • Undertake other assigned duties as needed.

    Skills/Qualifications

    • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
    • Over 10 years of experience in design engineering.
    • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Creative and open-minded thinker with a knack for generating ideas.
    • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
    • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Proficiency in using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design drawings and MathCAD for calculations.
    • Thorough understanding of geometric tolerance techniques following ANSI Y14.5M-1994 standards.
    • Experience in fluid handling device engineering (valves, pumps, etc.) is a bonus.
