    Job Description

    FDRsafety is looking for a Construction Site Superintendent to oversee a 1-year construction project near Rensselaer, IN. The role involves working Monday-Friday on a 10-hour day shift, with possible Saturday overtime. The Superintendent will be in charge of a single site location and will be rewarded with a competitive hourly wage, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Travelers may also qualify for per diem.

    Responsibilities:

    • The Project Superintendent (PS) is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and managing all field activities from project initiation to closeout. They must ensure that the project meets or exceeds safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations set by the Owner and Client through subcontracted workforce management.
    • The PS will provide field direction and oversight for subcontractors, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and scope management throughout the project execution and closeout phases. Additionally, they will monitor and manage schedule progress while minimizing client and Owner risks.
    • The PS will establish execution and communication processes for effective collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of field activities.
    • Aside from their leadership role, the PS will handle various trade work including site work, utilities, foundations, superstructure, equipment installation, and commissioning.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction as a Site Superintendent, Project Lead, or Project Manager
    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Proven experience in team and project management
    • Ability to efficiently manage a large team of contractors and subcontractors
    • Highly organized with a strong work ethic
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Critical thinking abilities
