- Set up welding equipment according to contract drawings and approved procedures.
- Maintain traceability of completed work, following standard procedures.
- Utilize Sub Arc Welding, GTAW, and GMAW techniques as needed.
- Perform arc gouging when required.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding safety, productivity, and quality.
- Ensure the correct welding wire is used according to WPS.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly care for equipment, including welding machines and positioners.
- Prioritize safety while striving for high productivity and quality output.
- 3 years of pipe welding experience (100% X-ray)
- Proficiency in arc gouging and torch operations
- Ability to pass a 6G mig/flux weld test
- ASME Vessel experience required
- X-ray positioner skilled welders
- Basic layout skills
- Blueprint reading
- Mathematical aptitude
- 6G welding skills
- English verbal and written communication
- Time management and organizational skills
- Flux Core, Mig, and Sub Arc Welding
- Ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency
- Stand, walk, bend, and climb
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- High level of manual dexterity
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Distinguish various colors/color coding
- Pass a vision test
