    Job Description

    • 3+ years of shipyard experience is required
    • SMAW
      • Pass a bend test in the 3G and 4G positions
    • SHIPFITTER
      • Lay out steel pieces to specifications
      • Weld with precision
    • Proven experience as a shipfitter in the maritime industry
    • Knowledge of shipbuilding standards and safety protocols
    • Ability to read and interpret marine construction blueprints and drawings
    1. Ship Fitting Duties:
      • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings for marine construction and repair
      • Measure, cut, assemble, and install metal parts for ships
      • Utilize hand and power tools
      • Align and fit parts accurately
      • Inspect and repair ship structural parts
      • Work with steel, aluminum, and composite materials
    1. Welding Duties:
      • Use cutting torches effectively
      • Accurately use a tape measure
      • Layout steel according to instructions
      • Properly wash off welds

    Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
    Day and night shift availability required
