Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a
Associate Director, Program & Facilities to join our
Abiomed Team located in Danvers, Massachusetts.

The Associate Director of Facilities oversees all aspects of running the facility. This senior-level position deals with budgeting, maintenance, purchasing, planning and other activities that go into operations.

They're responsible for the safety and security of everyone who uses the facility as well as supporting profitability and growth.

This professional will work with all outside vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring those entities deliver as promised. The Associate Director of Facilities manages the facility maintenance staff, safety staff, security staff, and facility project managers.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting capital expansion portfolio team
  • Creating and monitoring the facility's budget
  • Mitigating risk and overseeing facilities, safety, and security
  • Inspecting the facility routinely to look for issues
  • Overseeing all contractors that work with the facility
  • Ensuring the facility complies with relevant laws, regulations and safety standards
  • Handling longrange planning to support future needs and growth
  • Helping with plans for renovations, additions or new buildings
  • Provide support on special projects, as well as provide assistance to all departmental colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Project management experience
  • Budgeting experience and strong math skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understanding of laws and regulations along with the willingness to keep up with changes
  • Familiarity with facilities, construction, architecture and various systems, such as HVAC and electrical
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Problemsolving and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and handle a wide variety of situations, including conflict resolution and troubleshooting issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, prioritization, timemanagement skills and attention to detail required
  • Demonstrate a professional, positive, and approachable demeanor in working and effectively communicating with a diverse group of people
  • Exercise discretion, judgment, tact and poise in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed to support projects
