Visit Phoenix, a 2023 Arizona Top Workplace, is seeking a Destination Services Coordinator to join our team.

The Destination Services Coordinator will provide support for meetings and events taking place in large resorts around Greater Phoenix as well as administrative support to the Destination Services Department.

The Destination Services Coordinator is self-motivated, task-oriented, and results-driven; a strong communicator who supports Visit Phoenix's strategic mission, vision, and core values.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support large hotel and resort bookings over 400 guest rooms on peak.
  • Facilitate service requests for groups with under 10 guest rooms on peak.
  • Consult and collaborate with meeting planners on an event planning timeline starting three months prior and leading up to the event date.
  • Develop and coordinate preplanning site visits to the destination as needed.
  • Participate in sales site visits to introduce the destination experience process.
  • Work closely with hotel counterparts throughout the lifecycle of the event planning process to ensure optimal service delivery; a positive destination experience is achieved for all attendees and the event organizer.
  • Perform CRM data management tasks; file administration, including postevent reconciliation, room pickup, overflow blocks, assessments, and finalizing files.
  • Assist with referrals and service requests in Simpleview for temporary staffing needs to Visit Phoenix registration team members and other staffing agencies as needed.
  • CRM (Simpleview) department reporting needs.
  • Assist in finalizing planning visit itineraries for Destination Services Managers.
  • Mail, ship, or deliver promotional materials to the downtown hotels or convention center (i.e., visitor guides, destination brochures, etc. ), and other collateral as requested by the client or for promo shows for Destination Services Managers.
  • Assist with Front Desk lunch and break coverage on a rotating schedule.
  • Assist the Director of Destination Experience with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum two years of customerfacing in hospitality, travel, or customer service experience; with an Associate Degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Able to effectively communicate internally and externally, with strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with clients and partners to ensure satisfaction.
  • Good written & verbal communication skills.
  • A team player who can work independently and is selfmotivated.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to flex and be adaptable.
  • Strong ability to see projects through from beginning to end; prioritize projects, organized multitasker who thrives on managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to manage conflict with a solution mindset that ensures client and partners' expectations are met.
  • Able to work Monday
  • Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support the needs of the business.
  • This position requires sitting/walking/standing for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require lifting up to 25 lbs. (supplies, brochures, etc.).
  • This role requires a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record with proof of insurance.
  • Maintain positive and poised composition as a Visit Phoenix brand ambassador.


This is a non-exempt role with an annual salary range of $44,000-$47,000 to paid at an hourly rate of $ /hour.
