Our 95-year-old privately held client uses naturally occurring minerals to improve products used for filtration of liquids, for use in building products, and for use in creating potting soils and hydroponic growing media for plant growth.

They operates at the intersection of mining, branded consumer products, industrial manufacturing and processing, and research & product development to provide value to over 1,000 customers across the world.

The operating footprint includes 16 facilities across North America and Europe.

Operating through a fully integrated network of mines and refining/processing, and packaging facilities, the company has a unique multi-mineral platform.

The core business is selling wholesale products to blue chip customers. They have a very strong balance sheet.


Job Summary:


The Transformation Accounting Manager is a newly created key position within the Finance and Accounting functions, responsible for driving improvement initiatives and supporting growth.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The near term goals related to this role include expanding the existing management reporting function, performing foundational work to prepare for the implementation of a new ERP system, and supporting the needs of an in-process growth opportunity.

The Manager will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Conshohocken, PA.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Analyze existing Finance processes and activities; identify and prioritize improvements to drive the accuracy and timing of the reporting process. Work with technology, operations, and business unit leaders to implement improvements.
  • Lead and support multiple initiatives aimed at transforming and optimizing accounting processes and systems.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring ontime and withinbudget delivery, while collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
  • Collaborate with auditors to support audit procedures, expedite audit timelines, and actively contribute to the preparation of annual audit reports.
  • As needed, assist with the review and completion of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Utilize expertise in ERP and systems implementation to drive efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
  • As needed, provide accounting support for acquisition due diligence and integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Auditing experience higly preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with experience in public accounting, professional services or a large company setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven experience with ERP systems, with an understanding of their implementation and optimization.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Agile and proactive selfstarter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Previous experience working closely with auditors is a must.
