Description

As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling books, and creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our customers.

• Greet customers and assist them in finding books or other products
• Provide recommendations and product demos to customers based on their interests
• Process sales transactions accurately using the pointofsale (POS) system
• Upsell additional products such as bookmarks, journals, or gift items
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and shelving new merchandise
• Stay uptodate with new book releases and industry trends
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures Skills:
• Strong sales skills with a proven track record in retail sales
• Proficient in operating a pointofsale (POS) system
• Ability to upsell and crosssell products to customers
• Knowledge of retail math for calculating discounts, taxes, and change accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively
• Cash handling experience with attention to detail
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
