    Overview

    Drodex is supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR).

    ASPR is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

    ASPR was created under the 2006 Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act (and reauthorized in the Pandemic and All Hazards Reauthorization Act of 2013) in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters.

    The ASPR serves as the principal adviser to the HHS Secretary responsible for providing integrated policy coordination and strategic direction with respect to all matters related to public health, medical preparedness, and deployment of the federal response for public health emergencies and incidents.

    The ASPR heads a Staff Division in the Office of the Secretary, serving as the Secretary's principal advisor on issues related to bioterrorism, and leads a collaborative approach to the department's preparedness, response, and recovery portfolio.

    In addition to this policy responsibility, the office of the ASPR also has operational responsibilities both for the advanced research and development of MCMs, and for coordination of the federal public health and medical response to incidents.

    The support will assist in executing the formation of a Program Management Office for Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Office of Administration (OA) Office of Information Technology (OIT) to develop and implement a strategic plan for transition purposes.

    Responsibilities

    Conducts IT process analysis to understand opportunities for standardization, automation, and outsourcing and develop recommendations.
    Reviews and validates transition plan for efficacy and application of required business processes.

    Analyze and document current OIT business processes as identified by OIT leadership and make recommendations for their enhancement or the development of new ones.

    Work with process owners, participants, and end users to develop and implement improved business processes and standards of operations and support.

    Responsible for facilitating the creation and tracking of performance indicators to measure and align the mapping of the business process workflow.

    Qualifications

    Required Education

    Graduate degree in relevant field (Information Technology or related field)

    Required Experience

    6-8 years of experience
    Proficient in computers and software programs
    Proven track record of conducting thorough IT processes analyses to identify prospects for standardization, optimization and efficiency improvements within the technological landscape
    Experience in developing and validating transition plans
    Skilled in analyzing and meticulously documenting business processes, accompanied by recommendation for augmentations to drive operation efficiency and effectiveness
    Ability to process actions in a timely manner
    Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
    Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
    Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
    Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment
    Intermediate level Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, and Adobe Acrobat skills
    Superior time management skills.
