    The Solutions Engineer is the first introduction new customers have to our portfolio of products, and is the most knowledgeable resource within the company.

    He/she is whip-smart and quickly learns every nook and cranny of our products, and can show off our feature set with just a few minutes notice.


    The Solutions Engineer presents the value proposition of our products to prospects and customers, and is the primary product resource for our sales team – for net new sales, license expansion, and channel/partnership opportunities.


    He/she is equally as comfortable talking to technology stakeholders as when meeting with editorial stakeholders – and knows intuitively how to explain features in a way that makes sense to each audience.

    He/she is responsible for actively participating in the sales process, working in conjunction with the executive, product and sales team as the key product advocate and contact for Brightspot and our product suite.

    The Solutions Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to business, editorial and technical users.

    Must be able to understand and capture all requirements to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process until legal review.

    Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

    Responsibilities

    Expert knowledge of our product portfolio and ability to demo entire Brightspot feature set

    Provide pre-sales support to prospective partners and customers and great customer service and response, throughout the entire sales lifecycle.

    Act as an ongoing resource for our net new sales, license expansion, and channel/partner sales teams.

    Well versed and confident in presenting the Technical Architecture document

    Conduct Q&A sessions on a wide range of topics, including operational features (e.g. monitoring, scaling, disaster recovery, caching, security)

    Develop, build and deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept environments

    Hand-off and provide on-going support for sandbox environments

    Represent Brightspot at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.

    Respond to editorial, functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs

    Convey customer requirements to internal Product Management teams

    Support AE on assessing project scope (for proposals)

    Assess project scope by liaising with Delivery team or Partner for solutioning, implementation estimates and plan

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree & 4+ years experience as a software engineer working with a SaaS platform in a software engineering or

    technical product management capacity with coding experience or high level knowledge of software development terms and paradigms.

    Proven ability in performing assessments of clients' internal technology landscape and targeting use cases.

    Enthusiasm, energy and ability to evangelize Brightspot from a product and engineering perspective

    Experience in a customer-facing role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
