Departmental Overview:

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research oversees Berkeley's research initiatives, supporting a culture of creativity and collaboration. By supervising various research units and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, the office plays a vital role in maximizing the university's research impact.

Responsibilities:

Provide HR consultation to support division-wide programs and policies.
Implement and coordinate HR initiatives in collaboration with campus teams.
Contribute to strategic planning efforts and analyze complex HR trends.
Focus on process improvement to enhance division-wide HR practices.
Offer risk mitigation strategies and counsel unit leaders on HR issues.
Engage in additional duties as assigned and pursue professional development.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication.
Thorough understanding of HR concepts, practices, and systems.
Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and initiative.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR roles.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
