Challenges for Participants at McKinney:
  • At Mewa, we rent industrial textiles (workwear, cleaning cloths, oil absorbent mats, mops, etc.), pick them up for cleaning after use, and return them spotlessly clean.
  • For this, we need people who have learned their trade - preferably with us.
  • During your apprenticeship, you will learn how to wash, clean, maintain, and refine textiles using modern machines (e.g. washing lines, dryers, and ironing machines).
  • Chemical processes play a central role in this. Through chemical reactions, we remove stubborn dirt particles, odors, and fats/oils from the textiles.
  • In addition, you will work with us to ensure clean wastewater and reduce energy and resource consumption through the use of environmental technology systems.
  • But it's not just in practice that you will acquire textile and business knowledge: you will also attend in-house training and of course, vocational school in Berlin.
