    Description

    The following skills are required:

    • Experience in Stem cell processing for clinical practice
    • Experience in Cord blood processing for clinical practice
    • Previous people management experience

    This well-established international organization, with a solid track record in various European countries, is launching a new venture in the United States. Everything, from the lab to the team, is being set up from scratch. We will begin with a small team and expand as the operation grows.

    This role will encompass both hands-on work and supervision, involving processing units and managerial duties like recruitment, training, and team oversight.

    Key responsibilities include validating, starting, and enhancing the processing and testing of units, as well as building lab capacity.

    • At least 7 years of experience in a clinical blood bank laboratory covering all aspects (processing, testing, storage, release, etc.) and in a cellular therapy (stem cell) laboratory.
    • Current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or equivalent; ASCP certification is highly desirable.
    • Over 3 years of experience managing personnel (lab staff).
    • Over 5 years of experience supervising the technical aspects of tissue bank operations under a medical director's guidance.
    • Demonstrated ability to implement quality control measures and establish relevant processes.
    • Proven track record in validating laboratories, processes, procedures, and equipment.
    • Strong teamwork skills, ability to multitask, deliver regular reports, and complete assigned tasks promptly and to the required standards.
