Looking for an Assistant Research Scientist to join a well-funded and well-established lab to conduct studies using in vivo and in vitro approaches for understanding megakaryocyte-bone cell-hematopoietic cell interactions and bone healing.
This is an exciting opportunity to work and train with a collaborative and diverse group of researchers in a top-10 musculoskeletal research program at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Basic QualificationsTerminal degree or doctorate degree with bone biology and/or hematopoiesis background. This is a non-tenure track faculty position.

Additional Qualifications
Must have 2-5 years of postdoctoral experience and be experienced in standard molecular and cell biology techniques such as: cell culture, sterile technique, ELISA, and qRT-PCR.
Must be experienced in basic mouse handling including:
breeding, genotyping, and injections. Experience with any kind of surgery is preferred, especially fracture healing.
Additional skills:
standard light and fluorescent microscopy, bone histomorphometry, bone biomechanics, microCT, x-ray, DEXA imaging, preparation of osteoblasts, osteoclasts, hematopoietic stem cells, and megakaryocytes, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
