Construction Purchasing Agent - San Fernando Valley, United States - EWD

Description

We are looking for an experienced purchasing agent with knowledge in the Construction industry. You must be ablet to handle the workload of a mid-size business.


Responsibilities

• Reviewing requisition requests, prepare purchase orders and solicit bids for goods and services
• Works closely with Superintendent, Foremen and CEO of the company on daily basis
• Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers and vendors
• Manage relationships with key suppliers maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
• Must work well under pressure
• Monitor stock level
• Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)

- maintain updated records

• Attend events, fairs and exhibitions to keep abreast of the market's trends
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Must be flexible to handle different tasks as needed

Skills

• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
• Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
• Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
• Working knowledge of MS Office and purchasing software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong analytical mindset
• Outstanding organizational skills
• BS/BA in business administration or relevant field a plus

Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
