    Description

    Summary

    The ideal candidate for the Disaster Survivor Assistance Group Supervisor will have the following experience: Leading and overseeing teams in the delivery of the Disaster Survivor Assistance Program. Planning and coordination to meet disaster operational goals, utilizing the knowledge of Disaster Survivor Assistance programs and policies, and developing partnerships with State, Federal, and local partners.

    Responsibilities

    Tasks in this role include:

    • Leading DSA geographic operations and supervising multiple DSA Task Force Leaders to ensure a safe, secure, and efficient operation.
    • Coordinating with internal/external partners (to include Operations, FEMA leadership, and state/tribal/territorial partners) to ensure effective implementation of the DSA mission.
    • Identifying and analyzing DSA mission priorities with a primary focus on critical and emerging issues throughout designated communities.
    • Assisting the DSA Branch Director in the development of large staffing patterns and reports for the Joint Field Office (JFO) and geographic operational locations throughout affected States.

Every FEMA team member has regular emergency management responsibilities, even if not all roles entail deployment to disaster sites. Positions may require work at different locations and irregular hours. Travel may be extensive and relocation to emergency sites may be necessary.

      This position relates to IM-CORE (Incident Management Cadre of Response/Recovery Employee). Individuals in IM-CORE roles are essential full-time employees dedicated to disaster response and recovery efforts. Appointments are typically two years, with potential for renewal based on workload and funding.
