Major Responsibilities:

  • 1. Provides support and guidance to youth and families experiencing crisis. 2. Assists in the development of risk management/safety plan. 3. Refers youth and families to support services. 4. Acts as a bridge between families, agencies and community supports. 5. Assures families full involvement in crisis intervention services including team's adherence to "family voice and choice". 6. Actively participates in the multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions. 7. Recognizes and seeks consultations as needed. 8. Develop a training plan to enhance ongoing growth. 9. Provides consultation and direction to program team in the provision of services that are consistent with "wraparound principles". 10. Provides consultation with ESP staff regarding work with youth and families. 11. Develops ongoing family support resources. 12. Participate in YMCIS evaluation and development of protocols policies and procedures.

Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:

  • 1. Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. 2. Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed. 3. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations. 4. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements. 5. Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors. 6. Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. 7. Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

  • 1. Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • 2. Satisfactory CORI background check

  • 1. One year of psychology, counseling, social work, or related experience
  • Preferred:
  • N/A
  • Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

  • 1. Must be able to move about the space periodically during the shift. 2. Must be able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medicals codes or alarms). 3. Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel or crawl for various reasons. 4. Must be able to work weekends and evening hours.
