Summary:


This position is responsible for the creative direction and production of all Milwaukee Bucks performance teams including: 414 Crew, Bucks Grand Dancers (Senior Dance Team), Young Bucks (Youth Dance Team); and will also provide creative direction for select performances of the Rim Rockers (dunk team) and Bucks Beats (drumline).

The Manager, Entertainment Teams will oversee and assist with entertainment team auditions, game and community appearances, game-day activities, choreography organization and execution of team rehearsals, halftime shows, photo shoots and related responsibility and administration.

Responsibilities:


  • Hire, train and work alongside manager of each respective talent / entertainment team on overall creative approach.
  • Creative lead for on court presentation including lighting, special effects, props, costuming, etc. for all performances and large productions.
  • Manage & supervise performance team members and coaches to present best in class professionalism and performance quality.
  • Enforce Bucks Entertainment Network rules, guidelines and expectations and any disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for administrating all paperwork and payroll for members and new hires to applicable coaches and support staff.
  • Lead ALL collaborative performances during games and at halftime.
  • Design and order performance teams uniforms ensuring a variety of looks and costumes.
  • Provide choreography for some of the dance teams routines and hire guest choreographers for others.
  • Schedule and coordinate team auditions and workshops with an emphasis on recruiting the best and most talented performers and work with the organization in interviews and selection of teams.
  • Point person for all internal departments with questions and requests for the Bucks Entertainment Network representing performers to Marketing, Corporate Sales, Community Relations, and Ticket Sales as needed.
  • Curate selection and production of music for performances.
  • Schedule, organize and supervise (if needed) all team rehearsals to assure proper level of performance from all members.
  • Continual research of current and popculture events, music trends and trending topics and the ability to put those ideas to action quickly.
  • Manage and track all budget items for performance teams.
  • Train team leads for administrating all paperwork and payroll for members and new hires.
  • Manage all social media platforms for each entertainment team.
  • Coordinate and produce team photo shoots.
  • Department lead in generating new ideas for game entertainment including music direction and uniforms for other performance teams, and other live programming & entertainment elements.
  • Prioritize fan activation and fan value. Has the ability to create a 'home court advantage.' Drive experiential content to be different maker and key addition to all inarena and marketing activation.
  • Research and travel to other markets to observe BEST practices (both sports and live entertainment).

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a fouryear college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 57 years training and instructing various dance styles and teams
  • Professional Dance Team experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills interpersonal, verbal and written.
  • Strong choreography background.
  • Management experience with strong leadership skills.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to take and implement creative direction and feedback.
  • Nature of the position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
