Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Calibration, maintenance and repair of complex measuring instruments, test systems and equipment in the field of mechanical metrology, optics and precision mechanics
  • Performing measurements with a 3D coordinate measuring machine
  • Clarification of technical conditions with internal and external customers
  • Performing uncertainty calculations as part of the calibration processes
  • Compliant creation of necessary calibration protocols/documents using common IT tools
  • Development of calibration procedures for initial calibrations in accordance with internal/external standards and regulations

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of metrology is advantageous
  • CAD knowledge (CATIA V5, sketch, part, shape, product)
  • Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. variables & loops)
  • Knowledge of analytical geometry (vectors, matrices)
  • Knowledge of construction theory (technical drawings)
  • Experience with specific software (OPAL, PDM, VBA) is advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
