Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a Financial Services firm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our firm and its investment entities.

This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, financial statements, and the unique tax considerations of the Private Equity industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and Review:

Prepare and review K-1 forms for partnerships, LLCs, and S corporations, ensuring accurate allocation of income, deductions, and credits to individual partners or shareholders.

Reconcile K-1 schedules with underlying financial statements and tax returns.
Coordinate with internal teams or external partners to gather necessary information for K-1 preparation.

Tax Compliance:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for the firm and its investment entities.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax forms and payments.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.

Tax Planning and Strategy:
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the firm's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
Provide guidance on structuring investment transactions to achieve tax efficiency.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and legal counsel as needed.

Financial Reporting:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including income tax provisions and disclosures.
Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting for tax-related matters.
Support internal and external audits related to tax issues.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or master's degree in taxation preferred.
Minimum of 3 of tax accounting experience, with a focus on Private Equity or financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
